SpectroDens Absolute White Calibration Error
When getting Absolute White Calibration error message on the SpectroDens, here are steps for troubleshooting before sending the unit back to TECHKON:
Making sure each device uses its own base with white tile (matching serial number between the base and the device).
Clean the white tile with Isopropyl alcohol and inspect if any duct or contamination in the device aperture. Q-tip and can-air (non-oil type) are safe to use to clean the device.
Verify if Aperture setting is correct based on the actual aperture size installed on the device. The SpectroDens has two options for aperture: 3mm and 1.5mm. This must be set correctly in the device settings.
Go to the Device Voltages under system settings (two-gear icon) on the SpectroDens and press Enter. If you lift up your device, you should see the device LED stays on with a circle illuminating the desk. If so, please Exit the Device Voltages and try the absolute white calibration again on the same base.
Press and Hold the 3-key combination for 8 seconds to reboot the device. The key combination is Enter (arrow pointing left) + Exit (red radio button) + Measure (green button on the side). The device screen will turn off and back on after the reboot.
Make a device hard reset. Go to Device System Settings (two-gear icon) and go down the list to find Reset option.
