  1. Importing Color Exchange Format file (CXF3) into SpectroConnect
    1. CXF3 files are widely used in the graphic arts industry. This file could include not only CIE L*a*b*, but also spectral data for the reference color. When ordering custom ink from your ink manufacturer, ask them if they can send you a copy of their CXF3 to use for comparing delta E on the press.
    2. Go to "File" in the SpectroConnect software top-left corner
    3. Select "CXF Import" from the drop-down list and locate the CXF saved on your computer
    4. The CXF will be opened and displayed under the "Color Library" column on the right side.
    5. Drag & drop the book by its name into the Device Color Book window and hit "Start" to synchronize.
